The bar chart illustrates the remittance inflow in Bangladesh from 2013 to 2024, measured in billions of US dollars.
The chart demonstrates an overall upward trend, with notable fluctuations during the period.

In 2013, Bangladesh received a remittance of approximately $13 billion, marking the starting point of the observed period. This figure gradually increased over the next few years, reaching a peak of around $16 billion by 2016. The remittance influx remained relatively stable in 2017, with a slight dip to $15.5 billion. However, from 2018 onwards, the chart shows a noticeable upward trajectory.

The years 2020 and 2021 are marked by a significant surge in remittances, reaching $21.7 billion in 2020 and $22.1 billion in 2021. This remarkable increase can be attributed to various factors. Despite the growth in earlier years, the remittance inflow showed a slight decrease in 2022, dropping to $21.3 billion.

After hovering around around $21 billion mark for previous two years the remittance inflow continued to rise, reaching approximately $21.9 billion in 2024 and approximately $26.9 billion in 2024. This consistent upward trend reflects both global migration trends and Bangladesh's increasing reliance on remittances as a vital source of foreign exchange.

In conclusion, the remittance inflow to Bangladesh has demonstrated steady growth over the past decade, with slight fluctuations and a projected increase in the coming years.
